Dr. Sandeep Govil

Dr Sandeep Govil is a highly accomplished medical professional who has not only obtained the highest academic degree in psychiatry, D.N.B but has also been awarded four Gold Medals during his M.B.B.S. However, his true passion lies in philanthropy and advocating for his patients. Dr Govil received his first degree from a prestigious Government Medical College in Bellary, Karnataka, and went on to complete his post-graduation at the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), a world-renowned institution leading the revolution of mental health care for the common man.

One of Dr Govil’s unique qualities is his ability to provide a holistic treatment approach that incorporates psychotherapy and social services in addition to medication. He specializes in treating a broad range of patients, from children and adolescents to older adults, and possesses a keen acumen for treating Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder, both of which were his thesis research topics.

Dr Govil’s extensive experience ranges from working and teaching in tertiary care psychiatry institutes to providing ground-level community psychiatric services and deaddiction treatments for homeless individuals in Delhi. He has also managed drug research trials, served as the in-charge of the Drug Deaddiction Unit and Mental Health Unit at Tihar Jail for four years, authored the book “Psychiatry Made Easy,” and delivered lectures on psychiatry to medical graduates across the country and abroad. Dr Govil has presented numerous papers at both national and international psychiatric conferences and has published 15 national and international publications.
