Dr. Ankit Gupta

Dr. Ankit Gupta is a highly experienced consultant psychiatrist in New Delhi with over 10 years of practice in mental health. He received his medical degree from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in 2010 and completed his MD in Psychiatry from the same institution in 2014. Dr. Gupta has managed a wide range of mental health issues, including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychotherapy, drug dependence, personality disorders, and neurodegenerative and developmental disorders.

In addition to his work in clinical practice, Dr. Gupta has a passion for research, with many research publications and presentations at national and international conferences. His research interests include public mental health, cross-cultural psychiatry, and the interface of physical and mental health. He has also contributed articles to reputable journals on topics such as COVID and mental health, the role of yoga in treatment, cultural perspectives of psychotherapy, the biological basis of suicide, brain stimulation, and more.

Dr. Gupta is an alumnus of AIIMS and worked as a Senior Resident psychiatrist there for three years, contributing to clinical, teaching, and research activities. He was also awarded an international training fellowship from the Royal College of Psychiatrists in London, where he worked as a Speciality Registrar for two years. During this time, he received training in areas such as old-age psychiatry, community psychiatry, early intervention in psychosis, crisis intervention, and cognitive-behaviour therapy. In 2018, he was awarded Membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych).

Dr. Gupta is a member of various prestigious psychiatric associations, including the Indian Psychiatric Society, Indian Association for Social Psychiatry, Indian Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, World Association of Cultural Psychiatry, and International Association for Youth Mental Health. He also provides consultation for mental health issues related to stress, interpersonal conflicts, relationships, and psychosexual difficulties. In addition to his extensive experience and qualifications, Dr. Gupta is known for his compassionate and patient-centred approach to treatment.
